Our mission:
- To end extreme poverty: To reduce the proportion of the world’s population living on less than US$1.90 a day to below 3% by 2030
- Promote shared prosperity: Help raise the incomes of the poorest 40% of the world’s people in every country
The World Bank Group is a leading source of finance and knowledge for developing countries. It consists of five institutions committed to reducing poverty, sharing prosperity and promoting sustainable development: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
