Codatu and UITP sign a Memorandum of Understanding

On Thursday 23 January 2025, Jean-Jacques Helluin, General Delegate of Codatu, and Mohamed Mezghani, Secretary General of UITP, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
UITP is the largest worldwide network bringing together all public transport stakeholders and all sustainable transport modes. It counts 13 regional and liaison offices, and two Centres for Transport Excellence across the globe. With more than 1,900 member companies in 100 countries, it represents operators, suppliers and transport authorities from both public and private sectors. By deepening the dialogue between industry, transport companies and authorities, the UITP allows the entire sustainable mobility sector to work together in a spirit of partnership within the Association.

Codatu and UITP operate in a common environment and with common stakeholders. The two organisations also share the same vision of the need to make urban mobility a lever for the sustainability of tomorrow’s cities, in both North and South.
This Memorandum of Understanding will give concrete form to existing initiatives and collaboration, particularly in the areas of capacity building for decision-makers in cities in the South and paratransit, and will enable new joint projects to be developed.
