CODATU Madagascar takes part in a workshop on decentralised cooperation with the French Embassy
On 10 October 2024, the French Embassy in Madagascar organised the 18th edition of the Decentralised Cooperation Workshop at the Centell d’Antanimena in Antananarivo. The event brought together representatives from several regions, including Morondava and Androy, who had the opportunity to present innovative projects designed to improve local development in collaboration with French cities.
Over the course of the morning, the regional representatives shared their initiatives, underlining their commitment to meeting the specific needs of their territories. These presentations enriched the discussions and highlighted innovative ideas for regional development.
In the afternoon, CODATU led a workshop on sustainable urban mobility. Participants were able to discuss mobility challenges in the cities of Antsirabe, Tamatave and Majunga, and brainstorm together on sustainable solutions to improve mobility while minimising environmental impact.
The workshop provided a valuable platform for exchanging experience and best practice, underlining the crucial importance of decentralised cooperation in regional development. We warmly thank the French Embassy and all the participants for their dedication and commitment.
