CODATU technical cooperation in Peru: realization of the FONAMUSS 2023 Forum

On Monday 17 April and Tuesday 18 April 2023, the 1st National Forum on Sustainable and Safe Urban Mobility “FONAMUSS 2023” was held in Peru.

On Monday 17 April and Tuesday 18 April 2023, the 1st National Forum on Sustainable and Safe Urban Mobility “FONAMUSS 2023” was held in Peru.

Lucile Boudet, Project Manager at CODATU, intervened in Panel 1 – Integrated Transport Systems: challenges and opportunities for more sustainable and safer transport models. She highlighted the importance of this paradigm shift in Peruvian cities and shared the recommendations developed in the framework of the first CODATU technical cooperation in Peru (2016-2018).

This 2-day event concluded with success: it brought together local authorities and representatives of international cooperation and civil society, and allowed to create a space for dialogue, identify the most urgent challenges in urban mobility in the country’s interior cities and start to define an articulated and multi-level strategy for Peru’s secondary cities.

The Forum was organized thanks to the technical cooperation established between the AFD, CODATU and the Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones de Perú  – through PROMOVILIDAD.
