Efficient Urban Transport for Sustainable Cities: Urban Mobility Forum in Egypt [Cairo, November 22nd, 2017]
After the success of the 1st
Urban Mobility Forum held in 2016, AFD , CODATU and CEREMA are organising, in technical cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Transports, the 2nd edition of the Urban Mobility Forumon November 22th in Cairo.
Under the title of Efficient Urban Transport for Sustainable Cities, the Urban Mobility Forum is organised in the framework of a week-long event entitled “Making the sustainable city”, co-organized by the Institut Francais d’Egypte (IFE), the Economic Department of the French Embassy in Egypt (Treasury) and AFD, in close collaboration with their Egyptian partners in order to discuss about the “Urban Agenda”, through research activities and case studies.
The Urban Mobility Forum has the purpose to be as close as possible to the issues and concerns of local and national decision makers. This forum, organized in partnership with the Ministry in charge of urban transport, aims at addressing actual burning urban transport issues, using a largely participative approach.
This workshop will be a great opportunity to gather stakeholders of the transport sector in Egypt, international experts and companies involved in this field with the objective to explore tools and solutions to address urban mobility challenges, then come-up with appropriate and concrete implementable solutions in planning and expanding the Egyptian urban transport network.
The event will be held in Hotel Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah .
