[Journal] CODATU in the OCEMO edition No.4, November 2015: “The Mediterranean Economic Week”

The
office of Economic Cooperation for the Mediterranean and Middle East (OCEMO) was founded in late 2011, with the initial task of bringing together some of the most widely recognised initiatives for the economy, investments, education, project design and funding in a single place, using regional networks and tools created under the Barcelona process. OCEMO’s ultimate aim is to help improve policies implemented in the region and generate new projects or systems for development.

The 4th publication is dedicated to the Mediterranean Economic Week 2015, initiative promoting dialogues between companies, institutions and representatives of the civil society from both sides of the Mediterranean.

In the 4th edition, Christian Philip, General Secretary of CODATU, was asked to answer the three following questions:

• What are the specificities of Mediterranean cities?
• According to you, what are the challenges for tomorrow’s Mediterranean cities?
• Which city in the Mediterranean Region has been able to face those challenges, so far?
