Launch of CODATU Regional Forum
Monday 26 June 2023 marks the start of the CODATU Regional Forum “Urban Mobility in Latin America” in Bogota, Colombia.
To open the CODATU Forum and launch the first technical visit to the Fontibón electric bus depot, François DUROVRAY, President of CODATU, and Thierry Mallet, President of Transdev, gave a speech before personalities and local mobility experts from France and Latin America, including representatives of local and national authorities, business leaders from the mobility sector, researchers, NGOs, donors, etc.
The aim of this first technical visit to Fontibón was to present the services provided by Green Móvil, namely the operation and maintenance of the electric fleet. This is the largest electric bus depot in Latin America, with a fleet of over 400 buses.
The TRANSMILENIO hydrogen bus was also on show.
Another technical visit on offer is to the San Felipe district, to find out what Bogotá City Council has implemented in terms of tactical urban planning: the modal filter. A district totally revitalised by limiting the number of cars.
