Specialised in secure digital solutions, Famoco is a French company that has been working for over 10 years with international players in the transport, mobility and governmental and non-governmental sectors.
The technologies developed by Famoco help to secure transactions and protect user data. The professional devices are based on an Android operating system and are managed remotely via a dedicated SaaS platform.
Today, more than 500,000 terminals are deployed in 50 countries. Famoco supports communities in the South, in particular through a network of local players. Famoco’s use cases include cashless payment, validation and inspection of tickets. The ‘Tap-In Tap-Out’ (TITO) system, presented during the last webinar of the Codatu International Club of Public Transport Authorities, has been installed in 900 kiosks covering the Metro of Manila in the Philippines, in order to calculate the fare according to the distance travelled.
Through its activities, Famoco develops sustainable, ethical and appropriate solutions, thus contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as 8 ‘Decent Work and Economic Growth’ and 11 ‘Sustainable Cities and Communities’. From 2025, Famoco will join the Codatu Business Club as a member in order to actively participate in collective reflection and the implementation of solutions to meet the growing needs linked to urbanisation, the development of mobility and the environmental transition.
