More than 200 transport organising authorities – mobility organising authorities, French departments and regions – are members of GART. Founded in 1980, GART is a platform for discussion and reflection for elected transport officials. GART proposes areas of work aimed at promoting the implementation of sustainable mobility. GART represents all political sensibilities.

The Groupement des Autorités Responsables des Transports (GART): co-hosts the club of Mobility Organising Authorities of the North and South, supports the implementation of decentralised cooperation and lobbies for the international action of French local authorities, in particular for the adoption of the "1% Transport".
