Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis

The Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis is governed by the Metropolitan Council. This is made up of 240 councillors from the six territories. It elects its president, who also heads a 36-member bureau comprising 20 elected vice-presidents and 6 ex officio vice-presidents.
It is supported by three consultative bodies: the Metropolitan Conference of Mayors, the Development Council and, more recently, the Metropolitan Youth Council.
