Context of the visit
A delegation from the city of Buenos Aires visited the cities of Bogota and Medellin (Colombia) as part of the technical cooperation programme between the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, the French Development Agency (AFD) and the International Association of Public Transport (CODATU).
Goals
– To learn about the experiences of urban and mobility projects in these two cities, with a focus on the following issues: development of public space, development of active modes of transport, intermodality and accessibility, integration of working-class neighbourhoods into the formal city, promotion of nature in the city and policy to combat climate change.
– To provide the members of the delegation from the City of Buenos Aires (who represent various municipal departments) with a special forum for discussion and reflection on their cross-cutting projects and the coordination of their day-to-day work.
