“Development of non-motorized modes of transport as an alternative to the use of personal vehicles. The possibilities of adaptation of foreign experience in the Russian Federation: problems and ways of their solution”,
Petrozavodsk, 30-31 May 2016
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation took the initiative to organize this two-day International Training Seminar, as an event in the framework of the UNECE and WHO Pan-European Programme on Transport, Environment and Health (THE PEP) relay race.
The Seminar will take place in Petrozavodsk on 30-31 May 2016 and will be organized by Scientific and Research Institute of Motor Transport (NIIAT) in co-operation with THE PEP Secretariat.
The seminar will be organized around 3 main sessions:
- Session 1 – Benefits of non-motorized modes of transport as an alternative to the use of private vehicles in cities;
- Session 2 – The development of non-motorized modes of transport as an essential element of transport policy at international, national and local levels;
- Session 3 – Modern methods of organization of non-motorized movement.
