UMI-CODATU XVII Conference : Pedro Ortiz confirmed his participation as keynote speaker
The
participation of Pedro Ortiz in the UMI-CODATU XVII Conference next november is now confirmed. Reknowned urban planner, Pedro Ortiz has managed the innovative Regional-Metropolitan Plan of Madrid, and wrote “The Art of Shaping the Metropolis” which presents an innovative and flexible solution for organizing the urban growth with the improvement of the economic activity, the environmental stability and the quality of life.
A number of political personalities also confirmed their participation in this event, particularly: Elizabeth Borne, French Ministry of Transports, Alexandre Ziegler, French Ambassador in India, Alain Juppé, Mayor of Bordeaux and President of Bordeaux Metropolis, Dominique Bussereau, President of CODATU, as well as Venkaiah Naidu, Indian Vice-president, Narendra Singh Tomar, Indian Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and Durga Shanker Mishra, Indian State Secretary for Urban Development.
Several transport companies also confirmed their participation (Kéolis, SNCF, Transitec, Iveco, Egis), as well as the GART and SYTRAL, several french local authorities, and research institutes working in the field of transport and mobility.
CODATU XVII preparations keep going otherwise, with the programme which is now set an ready! The International Scientific Committee gathered in order to select 45 publications that will be presented during the conference, within the following 14 thematic sessions :

Practical Information :
1- Indian visa application
For your indian visa application, you can apply online (indianvisaonline.gov.in) for an Electronic Business visa (e-business), which is valid for a month.
For countries which are not elibigle for e-business visa, you can apply for a “Conference” visa through the VFS services. A “Conference” visa is valid for 3 months and is issued within 4 to 10 days (depending on the application process: submission at a VFS office in Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg, Marseille, Bordeaux or by post).
2- Technical visits of Hyderabad Metro
A technical visit of the metro premises will be organized by KEOLIS on November 7th morning. More details will soon be available on the joint website : umi10-codatuxvii.org
